There is Detailing, and then there is Paint Correction!
What is Paint Correction?
Paint Correction is a labor-intensive process that restores and rejuvenates the paint of a vehicle by removing
imperfections that dull, oxidize, and haze the
surface. Unlike detailing, paint correction is a precise method that removes anywhere from 1 to 5 microns of clear coat. Special equipment and proper techniques must be used in order to safely remove the imperfections from the clear coat without causing damage to the paint.
Paint Correction is not to be confused with substandard methods of using filler products to hide rather than remove imperfections. Paint Correction is a true art form that is understood and practiced only by a select few that truly appreciate fine workmanship.
A paint depth gauge is used before, during and after the buffing process. This allows us to measure the thickness of clear coat that we are working with, as well as precisely measure the amount of clear coat we remove.
At COVER UP SOLUTION, we focus on quality, not quantity. We take our time and do whatever it takes to get the job done right. We use the highest quality polishers, compounds and equipment. For most vehicles, it
takes us approximately 10-15 hours to properly correct the paint, and in some cases, it may take upwards of 25 hours or more.
